Trampolines are enjoyed around the world by adults and children alike. They are found in backyards, gymnasiums and schools, in all different shapes, colour schemes and styles. There are many different types of trampolines that you can get, each with its own unique features.
Competitive Trampolines
The sturdiest and the most resilient of the trampolines are competitive trampolines, which have been mostly utilized by sports athletes.
These are very light which enable it to be transported without any difficulty because they use a steel frame that may be collapsed so it may be sent to competion and sporting events.
The typical dimensions are 14 feet by 7 feet, with the frame having approximately 110 steel springs, supporting a specialized fabric woven out of webbing. The result of this is usually that the individual jumping on the trampoline may bounce higher, enabling them to execute more tricks.
Athletes also use competitive trampolines for the purpose of cross training in sports like snowboarding, skiing and wrestling as well.
Recreational Trampolines
The recreational trampoline is easily the most popular of all of the types of trampolines and can be found in different sizes, varying from small sizes made for one person to big sized trampolines that will support numerous people.
The designs of recreational trampolines consist of square, rectangular, octagonal and round. These types of trampolines are created with fewer springs than the usual competitive trampoline.
Water-resistant canvas is be used in recreational trampolines rather than special woven material. Recreational trampolines are usually promoted by fitness centers as a pleasant option to traditional workouts and schools utilize them for physical education. Frequently parents buy a recreational trampoline so that the whole family may exercise and enjoy themselves while doing so.
Mini trampolines
One of the easiest and most popular ways to exercise nowadays is by using mini trampolines. A lot of people compare it to the fun they used to have as kids when they would bounce on their beds.
You probably didn’t know it at the time, but that jumping was a great exercise. It is probably why you fell fast asleep when you were done. Using these small trampolines for exercise has come to be known as rebounding.
Rebounding has become so popular, not only because of how much fun it can be to exercise, but how well it works you out, too. You can burn lots of calories using one and having fun at the same time.
What’s also good is that using a small trampoline is really easy on your joints. It is a low impact workout that can be as intense or as easy as you want it to be.
Even if you just use your mini trampoline to gently bounce to begin with, you are already getting a great workout. Your heart will start pumping and your body will start to get toned.
Not only that, but your metabolism will speed up and you will start to burn calories and lose more weight. Once you get used to using it, you will start to learn more exercises and start bouncing higher and higher, thus increasing your effectiveness while on it.
When you first start out on your mini trampoline, you will need to get used to using it. Balance is the number one factor in exercising with it. If you can’t balance on it correctly, then you are not going to be as safe on it and could run the risk of falling off and getting injured.
To get used to balancing on it, begin with just standing stationary until you are comfortable to move on. Once you feel like it’s easy to stand on, then you can start working up to rebounding.
Even though it is safe to jump on your trampoline while bare footed, it is recommended to wear some good workout sneakers while working out.
Bear in mind that not everyone will get used to their trampoline right away. For some it will take days or even a few weeks. If you are finding that it is taking quite some time to get used to, don’t give up.
You might not understand now, but even just practicing your balance on your trampoline is in itself a small workout. You use a lot of muscles trying to keep yourself balanced on it. So if you are really out of shape and can’t jump on it yet, then know that just balancing on it is moving you in the right direction.
Water Trampoline
The water trampoline is another type of recreational trampoline. It has an inflatable tube and usually floats on the water. Water Trampolines tend to be promoted mainly just for fun, nevertheless, anybody using them may still get a good work-out from bouncing high into the air without the restriction of space.
